In all parts of the world, from Boliva to Papua New Guinea, Congo to Lebanon, Sweden to Bangladesh, women's freedom is limited.
Education, marriage, sexual violence, self-sufficiency, working conditions, climate change and war are some of the areas where women are most affected.
For several years me and my colleague have traveled to different parts of the world to depict women's conditions.
They are cultures that may seem different, but they all have something in common: women's subordinate role and their limited freedom.
Economic interests, abuse of power, politics and structures work together to maintain oppression.
The main focus is the woman's body, which often does not belong to herself.
Her body is sexualized, for sale, judged, raped, sexually abused and controlled by strict abortion laws.
The list goes on. Ethnicity, skin color and religion also affect how discrimination is expressed.
In this project, woman from all over the world talks about their experiences.
We have met women who fight for change, but also focused on how men work with men to prevent violence and a destructive male role.
We want to draw attention to the problems but also what opportunities that exist, to achieve a more equal society.
If this change work should be possible, the men must also be involved.
